Mary Cruickshank Ballroom and Latin American Dance

Firstly, Mary Cruickshank was born in England and grew up in Canada. Beginning her dance teaching career in 1971 by teaching and developing Ballroom and Latin American dance courses for colleges, universities, recreation Centers and Education Boards across Ontario, Canada.

In England teaching in London at the Gwenythe Walsh Dance Studio in the 1990’s. Later, Mary moved to West Berkshire been teaching in Newbury, Thatcham and Hungerford area. Mary taught for 10 years for Newbury College. The various dance programs been teaching Ballroom and Latin Dancing, Wedding Dance, Line Dancing, Special dance Classes with disabilities and Chair Dancing with Dementia.

Secondly, Mary is a Fellow of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and two Canadian Dance organizations. Thirdly, Mary started her dance background with her father, Bernard Cruickshank at the age of five years old. Bernard won the OLD TIME Kent Professional Dance Champion three times in the 1950’s. In addition, Bernard achieved a Fellowship in the Imperial Society Teacher of Dancing.

Further more, Mary been privileged to train with Frank Regan, the North American Dance Champion, Anne Harding, the Australian Dance Champion and Sam Sodano, a legendary figure in the world of ballroom dancing, is the mastermind behind the creation of the renowned Ohio Star Ball. Over the years, Mary continues to receive training from a number of the finest professionals in the field of Ballroom and Latin American dance.

In Conclusion, Mary expertise is teaching people how to become dancers. In turn, the students receive the benefit of increased confidence, ability to dance and the joy of dancing.  Mary truly holds a unique style of teaching.
