UPCOMING SESSIONS

This introductory Taster Session is structured to acquaint participants with the fundamental steps and distinctive styles of Ballroom and Latin American dance. Attendees will be guided through the basic techniques of the Cha-Cha, Waltz, and Slow Rhythm, gaining insight into the unique features of each dance form, such as variations in music, stance, posture, and movement.

The session aims to foster confidence and ease among students within a supportive and enjoyable setting, offering an excellent opportunity for physical activity. No previous experience is required; all individuals are encouraged to participate.

This beginner dance class is all about learning the basic moves of the Social Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha-Cha, and Waltz. It’s perfect for people who’ve never danced before. A new monthly Day class for Sequence Dance will be introduced. Focusing on the six common Sequence dances played at Tea Dances: Mayfair Quickstep, Catherine Waltz, Sally Anne Cha Cha, Rumba One, Square Tango, Saunter Together, as well as Paso Petite. This class is perfect for people who’ve danced a bit before, giving you a chance to get better at your moves and tackle some tougher steps in Ballroom and Latin dancing. In the class, you’ll create short dances, focus on your technique, learn how to move gracefully on the dance floor, and boost your confidence while dancing with others. The aim is to make sure you have a blast dancing socially, feeling more confident while doing it. While having a partner is preferred, it’s not necessary.

Tuesdays November 4, 2025

Intermediate Dance Level – 8 PM – 9:30 PM – 2 Spaces Available

Cost: £12 per person or Block 4 weeks for £40 per person

In this class, you’ll learn to develop your dancing skills by adding new step variations based on your prior learning. This will enhance your dancing abilities and help you develop your personal style across various dances. The class is currently working towards learning new dance routines up to a Bronze level, as outlined in the ISTD syllabus. Partners are preferred but not required to participate.

Wednesdays November 5, 2025–

Advance 1 – Silver Level  7:25 PM – 8:55 PM – 2 Spaces available

Cost: £12 per person or Block 4 weeks for £40 per person

This class focuses on developing dancers’ skills at the Bronze level, with the goal of progressing to the Silver syllabus of the ISTD. Students will learn to create new step variations, deepen the expressive quality of each dance, and refine their technique, poise, style, and musicality – all with the aim of enhancing their overall dance performance.

Advance 2 – Gold Level – 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM – 2 Spaces available

Cost: £12 per person or Block 4 weeks for £40 per person

This class focuses on developing your dance skills across multiple areas. You’ll learn new step variations to expand your repertoire, deepen the expressive character of each dance, and refine your technique, poise, style, and musicality. The overall goal is to elevate your dance performance. The curriculum is progressing from the Silver to the Gold syllabus of the ISTD.
