Wedding Dance Tips

PREPARATION OF YOUR WEDDING DANCEwedding art

Wedding tips for the Big Day

• Mary will teach you the ins and outs of partner dancing. You will learn the right moves and when to do them. You will learn how to stay on time with the music, and in step with your partner.
• Mary can create original choreography for you. If you want something a bit fancier, Mary can create a unique first dance that works beautifully with your song, and teach you how to dance it with style and confidence.
• Mary will listen to your vision. The goal is to create the perfect first dance for you and your partner. It may be sweet and simple, or it may be flashy and over the top. (or somewhere in between…) Either way, Mary can help you learn the skills you need to learn to dance your perfect first dance.

Wedding tips the hold

Wedding Dance Song – As a couple pick a tune you both love and enjoy.

Length of the Song – Your wedding dance should be no longer than 3 minutes, if your song is longer that is easily fixed by having the DJ fade the song out at your ending of dance.

Dance Floor – Check out the floor you will be dancing on. Make sure you know its dimensions. Some dancing styles of dancing require (like Quickstep) a bigger space. Other styles like Night Club (like Salsa) do not require much space. Have a good idea to know in advance the shape of your wedding reception dance floor so in practice you become familiar to dancing in the amount of space for your special day.
